Tony Carling – Good to see you connect with the emotion of the song but it took a long while to get going with a hook. Click here for more information on song structure for songwriters.

Rosie – Red Flags; This song had a catchy hook and we liked the chorus. Now continue to perfect your performance. Click here for live performance opportunities which will allow you to do this.

Tai – Don’t worry; You have  a good emotional connection and nice, powerful lyrics. We liked the vibe to this song. Not ready; This song had good dynamics. You have a lovely tone and rasp to your vocals. Now continue to perfect your performance. Click here for live performance opportunities which will allow you to do this.

A J – The chorus was catchy and this built up nicely - a toe-tapper! The hook was nice but a little simplistic so look to work on this and play around with your lyrical content more. Click here for more information on song structure for songwriters.

Johnny Locus – This song had sweet lyrics but you need to project more and get a hook in early.  Also look to work on the structure of the song. Click here for more information on song structure for songwriters.

Piltr – You are a great performer and singing, who had a strong connection with the song. Now look to give the song more structure. Click here for more information on song structure for songwriters.

Imza – This was a cheeky song which was a lot of fun. It was catchy but now look to cut the intro down and get into it earlier. Click here for more information on song structure for songwriters.

Lydia – This was a fun and catchy performance but needed more structure. Click here for more information on song structure for songwriters.

Hannah – This had a promising start but needed more direction as it didn’t feel like it went somewhere. Click here for more information on song structure for songwriters.

Camden Feedback for the Future Music Songwriting Competition

Emily – This song had a catchy melody and lyrics. Now continue to perfect your performance. Click here for live performance opportunities which will allow you to do this.

Afrix –  ‘Pringle’ had great lyrics but ‘Wish You’ felt a little too simplistic. Click here for advice on musical dynamics.

Jamalam – This was a great song and performance with a really strong instrumental but it was a little simplistic so look to build on this. Click here for advice on musical dynamics.

Jessica – This was a cute and catchy song but felt a little repetitive at times. Click here for more information on song structure for songwriters.

Mark – You had great chord progressions and this song felt very mature. Now continue to perfect your performance. Click here for live performance opportunities which will allow you to do this.

Margarite – You had a nice rhythm but need to work on the melody as it was a little flat. Click here for advice on musical dynamics.

Beth – You had a very polished sound and we could imagine hearing your first song on the radio. Your second song had a great crescendo in to the bridge. Now continue to perfect your performance. Click here for live performance opportunities which will allow you to do this.

Jemma – This was a sweet song with a nice country feel. Now continue to perfect your performance. Click here for live performance opportunities which will allow you to do this.

Amie – This song had a catchy start but the melody of your chorus was a little too repetitive. The verses were good but now look to strengthen the chorus. Click here for songwriting tips – how to write a chorus.

Alberto – You have potential but we found it a little hard to understand your lyrics. Now look to improve your projection, a good vocal coach will be able to assist you with this.

Elle – This song would benefit from being a little less repetitive. Click here for more information on song structure for songwriters.

George and Dan – This song had an interesting concept although make sure you steer clear of it turning in to ‘noise’. Now continue to perfect your performance and ensure this is the case. Click here for live performance opportunities which will allow you to practice this.

Feedback for the Camden Songwriting Competition

Morgan – We found your first song interesting, whist your second was gripping with fun lyrics. Now continue to perfect your performance. Click here for live performance opportunities which will allow you to do this.

Anita – We think this song could be a great pop ballad. Now continue to perfect your performance. Click here for live performance opportunities which will allow you to do this.

Mairead – This song felt very current, we could see it being a Taylor Swift song. Now continue to perfect your performance. Click here for live performance opportunities which will allow you to do this.

Marcello – This song had a fun beat however it would benefit from altering the melody as this didn’t quite work with it. Going forwards, make sure your diction is clear and that you let the song breathe.

Natasha – This song had a nice feel to it although going forwards you now need to work on giving it that ‘stand out’ factor. Click here for advice on musical dynamics.

Heather – This song was a little too simplistic, look to include more dynamics within it. Click here for advice on musical dynamics.

Saba – Your second song was a nice country ballad. The third song had a nice chorus with good harmonies. Now continue to perfect your performance. Click here for live performance opportunities which will allow you to do this.

Matteo – This song would have benefitted from additional ups and downs in the melody as it was a little flat. Going forwards, look to edit the intro as it took too long for the song to start. Click here for more information on song structure for songwriters.

Anya – This song was well written, now look to strengthen the chords within it. When performing, don’t forget to engage with your audience and express emotion. Click here for advice on musical dynamics.

Tailor Made – This was a great and engaging performance of a catchy song which teenagers could relate to. Now continue to perfect your performance. Click here for live performance opportunities which will allow you to do this.
